The Mission: Billing, Data, and Seamless Service

 

As our Medicaid Clerk, you are the lynchpin in our financial operations. You will be the expert who navigates the complexities of the Medicaid School Based Services (MSBS) Program, ensuring every claim is accurate, compliant, and processed on time.

Your Core Responsibilities Will Be to:

  • Own the Billing Cycle: Accurately perform and manage all requirements for Medicaid billing, transforming services into essential revenue.
  • Be the Data Dynamo: Master Microsoft Excel to compile, organize, and analyze critical participant information, maintaining robust and compliant databases.
  • Drive Compliance: Manage the essential paperwork—like sending and following up on doctor letters—to keep us fully compliant with all Medicaid regulations.
  • Tech-Up the Team: Demonstrate and leverage proficiency across the Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook) to streamline processes and maintain peak efficiency.
  • Communicate & Coordinate: Serve as a key liaison, communicating effectively with school districts, SWREC staff, and Medicaid contacts. You’ll be confident presenting and training on information both verbally and in writing.

What You Bring to the Table (Must-Have & High-Value Skills)

 

Must-Have Qualifications Game-Changer Skills (Preferred)
High School Diploma or Equivalent Previous Medicaid Billing/MSBS Experience
Exceptional Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (a must!) Experience using the full Microsoft Technology stack (Teams, One Drive, Planner)
Highly Detail-Oriented with a track record of meeting strict deadlines. Self-starter mentality with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
Strong Communication Skills (written and verbal) and excellent telephone etiquette. A valid New Mexico Driver’s License and willingness to travel regionally as needed.
Ability to take initiative, cross-train, and work effectively under pressure. Strong background in computer/data processing skills.

Compensation and Benefits

 

  • Contract: 220-day annual contract.
  • Salary: Competitive range of $35,000 – $40,000 annually, based on your education and experience.
  • Time Off: Includes 10 days of paid personal leave.
  • Location: This is a full-time, on-site position based in our SWREC Office in Deming, NM. (Sorry, no remote or hybrid options!)

Structured Literacy Coach

2025-2026 School Year

We are seeking a passionate Structured Literacy Coach to support schools across New Mexico in implementing evidence-based literacy practices aligned with statewide initiatives. This position is a collaborative effort between the Regional Education Cooperatives and the New Mexico Public Education Department. The coach will provide in-person and virtual support to educators and administrators through coaching, planning, modeling, and professional development. Coaches will be trained as local LETRS 3rd Edition facilitators to help build literacy capacity in schools and districts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers, interventionists, and school leaders in delivering high-quality literacy instruction

  • Facilitate professional learning and data-informed instructional planning

  • Participate in LETRS facilitator training and statewide literacy initiatives

  • Promote literacy growth for multilingual learners and students with disabilities

APL Micro-Credential Facilitators and Reviewers

Multiple positions available!
The Advance Program Level (APL) micro-credentials support Level 1 teachers advancing to Level 2 and Level 2 teachers advancing to Level 3 through a competency-based process of stacked courses. Each micro-credential is supported by an assigned facilitator (APL I-II) or a reviewer (APL II-III) to guide and mentor the educator through the content.

Applicants are required to be experienced Level III teachers. These positions support, mentor, and facilitate advancement for Level 1 teachers and Level 2 teachers as they work toward their Level II or Level III teaching licenses. Please apply for the Micro-Credential Facilitator position online.
